Biomass & Biogenic CO₂ Emissions

Biomass includes any fuel made from plants or biological waste (e.g., wood pellets, biogas). Biogenic CO₂ emissions come from burning this biomass. These emissions are treated separately from fossil-based CO₂ because they originate from recently captured carbon.
